Town Information

Bratsigovo is a city with rich history. The city took part in every battle for Bulgarian national freedom. Vasil Petleshkov, a national hero was born in Bratsigovo. He fought for the freedom of Bulgarians in the National revolution of 1876.

The historical museum has two exposition halls. In the expositions exponents of profound antiquity of our days are presented. The exposition has a lot of pictures and documented materials.

Museum History

Year of Establishment 1988
Founder Historians

In 1926 a group of teachers founded a museum exhibit in the old house of culture. In 1958 when the center for culture was built, the museum was housed there. From 1988 a new museum building was built specifically to house the historical museum.
